On May 29, 2026, Xi Omega Chapter proudly celebrated one of its most distinguished leaders, C. Edith Booker, the Chapter’s 29th Basileus and the 29th North Atlantic Regional Director, during a special bench dedication ceremony at the Xi Omega Center. Hosted by North Atlantic Regional Director Elicia Pegues Spearman and Xi Omega Chapter, the occasion paid tribute to C. Edith Booker’s decades of exemplary service, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to sisterhood in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

This dedication marks the inaugural tribute in Regional Director Spearman’s “Living Legacy” Bench Series, an initiative created to honor former North Atlantic Regional Directors whose leadership has left an indelible mark on our sorority and whose influence continues to inspire generations of women.

Beautifully positioned on the grounds of the Xi Omega Center, the bench stands as a lasting symbol of reflection, wisdom, service, and connection. It is a fitting tribute to a leader whose legacy continues to enrich Xi Omega Chapter, the North Atlantic Region, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
